Harold passed away Monday, June 1, 2009 at his
home. He was born November 21, 1939 to Jennie and Elmer Housden in Centralia,
WA. He was an avid gardener, skilled wood worker,
loved joking with his family (especially his grandkids), and liked to camp at
the beach, hunt, and fish. He thoroughly
enjoyed watching a wide array of local youth and high school sports. He could always be counted on to liven up any
party – no matter the occasion.
He was a wonderful father to
Donald (Joanne) of Elma, Tawni Sharp (Jeff) of
Olympia, Kelly Flock
(Ron) of Doty and Jennie of Raymond.
Step children Merle Henderson of Virginia, Michelle Strauss of
California, Barbara Prinzing of
Seattle and Mark
Henderson. He also had 15 grandkids and
1 great grandson. He is also survived by
brother Dan (Ella) and sister Elaine Link (Chuck) and
many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by: his
parents, wives Betty Ekberg and Colleen Dunn, and sister Jeannette Ratkie.
A “Celebration of Life” will be
held Monday, June 8, 2009, 1:00 PM at Harrison Square Presbyterian Church, Centralia.
